Light reflecting off the roof surface hits the rear of the module and adds output the front alone would never collect. How much depends on mounting height and what is underneath, which is something we assess during the site survey rather than guess at.
Glass on both faces instead of a plastic backsheet means the module handles heat and humidity better across its 30-year output warranty. Relevant in a climate that swings from 45°C summers to cold winters.
