A 2.5 kWh LiFePO4 pack from the Elektra Boost Lite range. Lithium iron phosphate is the chemistry to use where a battery gets charged and drained every single day — it handles daily cycling far better than lead acid, and it does not need topping up or ventilation.
A tubular battery bank degrades quickly if you routinely take it below half charge, which in practice you will. LiFePO4 cycles deeply without the same damage, holds usable capacity for years, and needs no maintenance — no water, no terminal cleaning, no ventilated room.
The battery management system handles cell balancing, temperature limits and charge cut-offs on its own. That is what keeps a lithium pack healthy over a long service life, and it lets the battery communicate its real state of charge to a compatible hybrid inverter instead of the inverter guessing.
