Solar Pump Inverter / VFD
A 7.5kW VFD for running a pump straight off solar panels. It provides the starting torque a submersible needs to get moving, then uses DSP control to hold the motor steady as sunlight rises and falls through the day.
A tubewell on diesel costs money every hour it runs. On solar the fuel is free, and the Pridor tracks available sunlight so the pump slows under cloud cover rather than cutting out and restarting — which is what wears a motor out.
Multi-level protection guards against dry running, over-current, over-voltage and phase loss. On a tubewell sitting far from the nearest service centre, that protection is the difference between a fault and a replacement motor.
